Open House
I got up around 8am, woke Lesley a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty. I had a bagel with whitefish and tried to feed pupdog (Hal), he ate his whole cup of food while the ladies were at the spa, Sarah, Joanne and Lesley.
Stephanie, Joanne's sister sent a bouquet of red roses and the soda wasn't delivered until closer to the party's start time.
Les and I went to Curds N' Whey to pick up the seating chart, the Willow Grove Mall so Les could pick out jewelry out. There is no place in the mall like a C.V.S. that sells almost everything, like I don't know a razor. I forgot to pack them, we stopped at my house and I ran in to pick one up. Nick was dead asleep, I saw Sammie and blew him a kiss.
We stopped for slurppies at the 7/11on the way back to Gravers, Les mixed Coca-Cola, watermelon and the sour Hulk flavor. I both the watermelon and sour Hulk flavor, it was a perfect mix of both sweet and sour. When we got to the house we parked on the street and the Carling's van was already parked, they got there five minutes before we did. I took a walk with Lenny and Joey, Hal needed to go out. But he was being stubborn b/c he knew it was going to rain soon.
I ate some chips and socialized, I also spent some of the party cleaning and helping guest find drinks, trash cans, bathrooms, etc. Lesley and Scott played a game called Ticket to Ride with Caroline, Rudy and Joey. I watched and the game made a lot more sense seeing it then having it explained, I played for Joey a little bit. Joey and Rudy were being card hogs, *tisk, tisk*
The food was delicious, I had a turkey sandwich, egg salad, tuna on rye and plenty of black olives which are my favorite. I met everyone, but I couldn't tell you who they are, just that there were 48 and maybe their professions. Joey got along well with Lesley and Scott's cousins Zach and Adam, they played so well together especially looking for Rudy, a.k.a. Robert. He hid behind a picture in the office, then in the flowered bathroom closet, the kids looked all over for him and finally found him on the couch. It was historical, plus Adam thinks that Rudy is Joey's dad b/c they both look alike.
Much more to come.

Packing with Lesley
We always have so much fun, but we had to got to lunch and Target first. We had lunch at Cracker Barrel, the most tasty of places for southern foods. Les got her favorite meatloaf with dumplings, mashed potatoes and corn. I had the country fried shrimp platter w/ 2 hush puppies, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese and dumplings, plus both of us having corn bread and a tasty biscuit. We packed for 4 hours, which is a lot less than Wednesday.
Eating dinner at Gravers, my favorite bagels and locks, whitefish, egg salad, cream cheese, and fruit salad. I love having dinner at the table with my second family and laughing about the ridiculous way Lesley and Scott talk. Lesley loves to eat begels, while I like to eat bagels.

Cleaning with Lesley
Lesley and I cleaned all day long, the back room is messy with piles of trash and piles to be moved. We both worked very hard, I kept Lesley on her toes, she doesn't have as much drive as I do for cleaning and organizing all day. I love it and have so much fun. We found so much stuff that neither of us knew was still in existence, Amy claims we were distracting her, it was more like the other way around. We took breaks and kept ourselves hydrated, I'm so proud of Lesley. She asked me to take pictures of stuff instead of keeping it, she did a great job of not keeping everything.
We took down all the pictures on the walls at Morris Road and the big ones got put into the portfolio. We only had 2 boxes of stuff for scrapbooking instead of more, we hole punch the regular sized drawings and put them in a binder. I made out like a bandit, Lesley let me have all the arts and craft supplies. Now I don't need to buy glue, sand, scrapbooks, and plenty of others plus enough pencils to last me a lifetime.
We had so much fun, Amy was convinced at times we were not working hard enough, but some of the stuff we were looking at was so hilarious. We took a 30minute nap at 6:15 b/c Lesley was wiped out, I napped to b/c otherwise I'd be board. I heard Les & Amy later & that's when I noticed that Les was awake but left me sleeping. Lesley says I snore, I though I didn't. She says it's cute, like squeaks almost. Oh, bother.
Amy, Lesley and I had Chinese food for dinner since we were the only ones at the house and in no mood to cook. Amy had chicken and veggies with white sauce, Les had general sos chicken and I had beef w/ mixed veggies, plus a large white rice, small white rice, small shrimp fried rice & 2 egg rolls for Les and I. I like East Cuisine's shrimp fried rice best b/c it has shrimp, sprouts, egg, carrots and peas. We talked about Amy's kids in their schooling, church & missions, family and other stuff.
After dinner and talking with Amy for a long time, I started cleaning up in the kitchen, throwing out junk and food that had expired from the cabinets. I had a whole bag, I tried to reason with Lesley about finishing the last of the journals and such. But she was too tired and claimed she would do it before bed, so we took some of the stuff from Lesley with us so it go in my room. Lesley was really happy and very thankful that I helped her. Well, plain and simple I love cleaning and spending time with Lesley no matter what we end up doing.
I talked to mom and Nick for a few minutes and then went to bed. Changed into my pj's and cleared off my bed for sleepy time.

Rest In Peace George Carlin
George Carlin, the edgy comedian and counterculture icon, died Sunday at the age of 71. The stand-up comic and author – best known for his groundbreaking routine "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television" – reportedly died of heart failure at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica. (Carlin, who was open about his long struggle with drugs and alcohol, had a history of heart problems, including a previous heart attack.) The Manhattan-born star achieved notoriety for his comedy routine 'Seven Words You Can Never Say On TV'.
Ben Stiller, Jay Leno Pay Tribute to George Carlin
George Carlin – who once wryly wondered, "Why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will clean them?" – is being mourned by fellow comedians such as Ben Stiller and Jay Leno, not only for being a ground breaker in entertainment but an individual of great honor. Stiller, 42, said in a statement. "He had an amazing mind, and his humor was brave, and always challenging us to look at ourselves and question our belief systems, while being incredibly entertaining. He was one of the greats and he will be missed.
George Carlin a comedian , whose "Seven Words You Can Never Say on TV" routine lifted him to what he himself described as "a footnote in American legal history" that he was "perversely kind of proud of." Jack Burns, who teamed with Carlin as a disc-jockey duo and later as a nightclub act in the early '60s, told the Associated Press, "He was a genius and I will miss him dearly." Only last week, it was announced that Carlin had been awarded the 11th annual Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, which was to have been presented to him in Washington on Nov. 10.
Carlin rose to fame in the 1960s with appearances on TV programs including The Ed Sullivan Show. He went on to become a regular on U.S. TV and became the first ever host of NBC's famed Saturday Night Live show in 1975. Carlin also appeared in a variety of movie roles, including Rufus from 1989's Bill + Ted's Excellent Adventure.
Carlin leaves behind a daughter, Kelly, 45.
Favorite Movies:Jersey Girl, "Shining Time Station" [who was Mr. Conductor (2 episodes, 1991-1993) Once Upon a Time & Second Chances], & With Six You Get Eggroll.

Sewing Project
When I got up at 10am, Mom and Moo were gone out shopping. Nick was at work so it was just me and the boys. I called my cousin Emily back to say that I could watch the kids for even though she doesn't have a job right now. I love them and I haven't seen them in a few months. I had an early lunch b/c I was starved, Nick made me a grilled cheese sandwich, I ate it b/c I didn't have the heart to tell him I already had lunch.
Nick was busy as a bee, he washed the outside of both Moo & Mom's cars & the inside of Mom's b/c it was full of crumbs. He also mowed the lawn & put mulch down in the front gardens. He just didn't stop moving all day, Grandmoo was very appreciative. I worked with Mom to cut out patterns for a summer dress, I want to wear it to the wedding next Sunday. The first pattern I choose was too complicated and we didn't have enough fabric. Mom showed me how to line the pattern w/ the fabric & then let me cut it out. I started out slow at first, but got a little faster as I got better.
I let Tigger outside & Sammie with his leash & harness. Sammie was a chicken while Nick was washing the cars. So he went inside after a few minutes. Tigger stayed for almost 35 minutes, he loves to roll on the porch & sit in the cat nip. He sat on the cat nip plant under the little fence, he basically smashed it. It was the funniest thing ever, he was being so cute & smart.
I helped Grandmoo with dinner as much as she would let me. I showed her where everything was and got out anything she couldn't find. I put dinner & the supplies on a tray & brought it out to the living room to eat. It was Mom's early birthday dinner, chicken dipped in egg, flour, Parmesan cheese & bread crumbs with peanut-nectarine salad & corn on the cob. Everything was really delicious, I neglected to mention to Moo that Nick doesn't like peanut butter, but so what it was Mom's dinner. Well she fussed over him, he will make something else to eat if mom cooks something he doesn't like. He's a grown man and can fend for himself.
We had cantalope and cherries for dessert instead of carrot cake b/c it was too hot to bake. It was like I died and went to heaven, the cantalope was so sweet. We watched most of the movie Heavy Weights with Ben Stiller, it's hilarious. I walked down to visit Ace and Diana, she was telling me that the day before he got totally freaked out by a bat that swooped down to eye level with her. They went to Tyler State park where she was trying to show Ace a frog, but he wasn't paying attention. So she took a picture on her cell phone & then a minute later Ace was peeing on the frog, it didn't move until after Ace was done and discovered it was there. Then the frog hopped away and Ace was left confused. Diana couldn't make this stuff up, it's hilarious when she tells me about their adventures at the park. It's so hard not to laugh at Ace, he gets mad.

Camp Rock
I've been waiting since April for the premiere of Disney channel's Camp Rock featuring The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato. I played around w/ the DVD/ VCR record so I could write instructions for mom in case I wasn't back from work in time to see it.
Grandmoo and I ate lunch in the living room while watching the Tuner Classic Movie channel. It was the life of Errol Flyn, it was really interesting. I would really love to watch all of his movies, especially the ones with Olivia de Havilland. Moo had to go to the doctors, by the time she got back I was already gone.
Katie picked me up after work, we had ice cream for an afternoon snack with chocolate syrup. I vacuumed the floors downstairs & in the master bedroom & bathroom. I mopped all the rooms with hard wood floors, I wiped down the cabinets w/ Murphy's Oil & mopped the mud room. When I was done Mommers was walking & Katie volunteered to drive me home. It was so much fun seeing my twin again, I was finally able to return her blue laptop bag. It was the perfect timing, Katie could use it at the beach.
I got home after dinner, we had left overs, yummy. I changed clothes so I didn't smell like cleaning products. I was happy to see Mom, Nick & Grandmoo, especially since she was feeling much better. A lot of good the surgery did Moo, she's back to square one where she's in so much pain it hurts just to walk sometimes. It's absolutely ridiculous. I ofered to help her as much as possible, normally I'd be getting her a cup of hot tea. But she was too afraid to move, I brought her a Snapple & gave her my bunnie straw so that it would be easier on her back.
I recorded Camp Rock, it was a great movie. I love all the music & dancing in it. I want to learn the moves to the hip-hop class from the movie.
